DHI reserves the right to change specifications or information appearing in this procedure without incurring any obligations for equipment previously or subsequently sold, leased or installed. DHI expects the same dedication to safety from their independent contractors, and anyone else at the wellsite. DHI and its affiliates cannot and do not supervise or control the manner and means by which DHI's contractors carry out work assignments, DHI must rely upon DHI contractors and other wellsite personnel to adopt, implement and enforce rules and practice necessary for the safe performance of the proposed work outline in this procedure. Therefore, DHI is not responsible for any harm, loss or damage caused by following these procedures. See DHI's Manual of Practice for safety procedures, protocols and contracts. In addition, see the terms of the contract for more information.

The following steps are general RFI installation steps and must not be used alone. See DHI's Installation Procedure, Manual of Practice, well data and Installation Design before attempting to install an RFI system.

  1. Start with a previously prepared and clean wellbore.
  2. Transport, deliver, unload, inspect and test the RFI system.
  3. Connect the lifting sub to the top of the RFI system.
  4. Connect the packer and tubing on/off tool to the RFI system. If a tubing sub is going to be used between the RFI system and the packer, the packer will have to be lowered into the wellbore first.
  5. Run tested and clean tubing with the RFI system, tubing on/off tool and packer to the desired and predetermined depth.
  6. The packer technician must now set the packer.
  7. Pull the predetermined amount of tension on the tubing string, sub up and hang tubing off.
  8. With inspected and clean rods, run the insert pump into the tubing.
  9. Seat the insert pump and space out rod string.
  10. Fill the tubing full of inhibited/filtered water.
  11. Test the tubing for leaks by applying pressure in the tubing at the surface.
  12. Hang off the polished rod and space out pump plunger.
  13. Perform all surface pluming and preparations.
  14. Perform initial start-up procedures.
